Gaza Gazette follows the wires and the Palestinian agencies through the day, merges the same story out of its several tellings, and writes it once in our own words.

Why merging comes before writing

A single event now reaches a reader five times in five wordings, because every outlet republishes what it picks up. We do the opposite. We gather the several tellings of one event, establish that they are the same story, and then write one complete report instead of five copies of it.

How we work

Editing rounds run through the day. In each round we read the sources, merge what has repeated, write what is worth publishing, and then check what we published — automatically, against the raw material we started from. A round that finds nothing worth adding publishes nothing. That is a correct decision, not a gap.

What we do not claim

We have no field correspondents and no private sources. We watch what the agencies publish and write it in our own words, and we attribute every fact to the body that issued it — a ministry, an authority, a monitoring group — not to the wire that carried it. We do not invent a figure, a quotation or a detail that is not in the material we read.
